Sunday morning saw the annual Easter Fun Shoot organized by Mark & Kathy J with evil target positioning from David Elvin. An excellent turnout of 24 members ventured out on a bright and sunny morning, ready to do battle for the chocolate spoils. Thanks to all involved in organizing and getting the course ready.
Shooters were paired up and their combined score would see which team were victorious. The format was a little different than normal where the first target was worth 1 point and the second worth 2 points, the twist being that the first target had to be knocked over before progressing to the next. If you missed the first one, it had to be shot again so 3, 1 or 0 points per lane. The competition was fierce with some excellent shooting, notably Jacob who cleared the course and earned his team 45 points. James McGee was snapping at his heels, only missing 2 targets and David Elvin close behind with 3 misses.
With some close team scores, it was a tie for top spot with Jacob and partner Shaun Peacock and James McGee with his partner Kelly Loveday both scoring 73 points, closely followed by David Elvin and David Ryder on 65 points.
Don’t forget, 23/04/22 sees the first round of the summer series.
