The weather forecast predicted heavy rain and 40mph winds for this round so we were not expecting a good day at Lea valleys ground. As luck would have it most of the rain held off during the shoot so at least we didnt get too wet. However the wind certainly gave everybody problems as can be seen when the highest score of the day is 18/30. Lea valley had put out a challenging course but the wind made it doubly so. Congratulations to everybody who battled through to the end – your score wasn’t quite as bad as you thought in reality! Well done to Hereward for winning the team event.
A day of contrasts – the morning with thick fog for the Ist round brightening up to blue sky and sun for the re-entry. A couple of pics below give an idea.
Club members — its your turn to have a say in the running of the club. A chance to tell us what we are doing wrong (or right hopefully). Committee members are to be elected / re-elected, a report on the clubs Financial position and where we are in the Great Scheme Of Things! Tea, coffee and biccies provided with a Bacon roll or two before we head to the range for the “Chairmans Challenge” shoot. Prizes for top Lady, Junior and the Other Sort (Men). Please note attendance of the AGM is mandatory to enter the Chairmans Challenge.
Date for the diary is SUNDAY 6th DECEMBER 09.30 sharp at Plantation Park sports ground, Blofield.
