Be warned the warm and humid weather has brought out the mozzies in force this week. Bring some insect repellent if you have it or cover up well. Some of us are more succulent than others to the little blighters. Mark achieved a personal best of 28 bites on his back despite using repellent on arms, face,. neck and ankles! Probably best just to bathe in it before shooting or perhaps a members “sheep dip” is required on the site!
Mark and Kathy Johnson travelled down to the ETL club near Tilbury, Essex on 7th June to compete in their annual “Mini Mayhem” shoot. As the title says all the hit zones are reducers of 25mm and 15mm, the only exception being “the Golden Bunny” ( which happened to be silver bizarrely) which was a standard 40mm. ETL have a superb woodland site which provided some very enjoyable shooting which was helped by the warm sunny weather. The targets were set at sensible ranges with the furthest 25mm at 51yards and 15mm at 31 yards ( open to debate depending who you speak to)! Standers and kneelers presented an even greater challenge than normal of course. Top score of the day was 32/40 with Mark taking 3rd place in AA grade with 28/40.
A couple of pics below do not show much detail but we didn’t have time to take many unfortunately. Heres a short You Tube video of the highlights instead – Click Here
