Once shooting was finished we held our annual BBQ. True to fashion the Great British Summer arrived with a thunder storm and torrential rain just as the charcoal got going! Luckily a couple of gazebos and large umbrellas were available and being true out door people we carried on regardless. Thanks must go to Pete and Paul once again for the mass catering under trying conditions. Well done chaps!

Sunday 27th August saw us host a visit fron the On Target club of Dereham. 6 vistors came along to experience FT shooting with us. After a brief safety induction and practice / zero session we paired up with the visitors and offered practical advice regarding aim points and Field Target technique for the knockdowns at the different ranges. A 20 target course was set out incorporating all distances and positions typically used. The weather was superb with no wind to cause further complications and it was agreed by all to have been a sucessful and enjoyable morning.
A few of us travelled to Springfield club near Chelmsford to take part in the Essex open. An excellent shoot was set out within their wooded area with a few lanes on a very open field with a tricky wind to contend with. Congratulations to Simon Ayres for taking 3rd place in AA grade with David Elvin taking 2nd place in A grade. Will look forward to next year.
