Boxing day shoot – 26th December (members only).

All members are welcome to our traditional Boxing Day shoot. This will be something slightly different from our normal Saturday events. Kick off at 10.00am but be at ground by 0945 for the briefing. A chance to get out for some fresh air and away from the chocolates! We aim to be finished by 12.30 so we can get home for more mince pies!

2018 membership Fees now due

All members please note that the club year starts on 1st January. Membership fees are due at the same rate as last year. Cheques or cash to Amanda please. Remember:  no fees = no insurance = no shooting.

Chairmans Challenge 19th Nov. 2017

It is the Club tradition that following the  AGM we take part in the annual Chairmans Challenge shoot. Nice to see everybody who took part on a superb course layed out by departing Chairman Jim Coleman and David Elvin. Targets placed in some of the trees were certainly interesting to say the least! 25mm 25 yard stander up a tree anyone? Congratulations to this years winner James Mcghee who will retain the Chairmans Challenge Shield for one year. Runners up will receive trophies at the club dinner and presentations in the new year.

Broadlands Annual General Meeting -Sunday 19th November

Club members — its your turn to have a say in the running of the club.  A chance to tell us what we are doing wrong (or right hopefully). Committee members are to be elected / re-elected, a report on the clubs Financial position and where we are in the Great Scheme Of Things! Tea, coffee and biccies provided with a Bacon roll or two before we head to the range for the “Chairmans Challenge”  shoot. Please note attendance of the AGM is mandatory to enter the Chairmans Challenge.

Date for the diary is SUNDAY 19th NOVEMER 09.30 sharp at Plantation Park sports ground, Blofield.

Summer Series+ BBQ

Final round of the Summer Series today has ended in a draw with both teams scoring 169. That means the series is tied and we need to count up eliminators. It is that close once again!  Results will be uploaded as soon as possible once the numbers are crunched and double checked. Top gun today was John Haylet with a superb 39/40.          UPDATE – Team J wins the series after hitting more eliminator targets than Team M. Full scores are on the Summer Series Tab.

Once  shooting was finished we held our annual BBQ. True to fashion the Great British Summer arrived with a thunder storm and torrential rain just as the charcoal got going! Luckily a couple of gazebos and large umbrellas were available and being true out door people we carried on regardless. Thanks must go to Pete and Paul once again for the mass catering under trying conditions. Well done chaps!
